11 Things about moi 

• Number 1 : Let's start off with my name. My parents decided to name me Shezryna after a thorough search on Yellow Pages. I can't even. >_<

How do they not get a paper cut with a book this thick?

• Number 2 : I am extremely terrified of flying cockroaches. Once, it landed on my shoulders to say hi, and I went all ninja. A screaming ninja.

Misunderstood cockroach. Wanted to say hi, but ended up getting sprayed with Ridset.

• Number 3 : I used to play video games a lot. And I used to watch my cousins, uncles and dad play video games all the time. They would play Fifa, GTA, Metal Gear Solid, and ICO. There was one time when I played Fifa with one of my cousins, and I was losing. We paused the game so that he could go to the bathroom, I took his console and buat one of the players goal kat tempat sendiri. Hahaha

• Number 4 : Baru number four? I'm out of ideas. Okay, hmm. When I was little, I used to chase chickens kat reban mana entah sampai jatuh and the scar remains. I regret nothing lol! I think I was having a blast chasing the chickens sampai tak ingat dunia.

• Number 5 : I am a fan of Yanni's music ever since I was in primary school. This is the only genre my parents and I could agree on. xD My favourite album of his is "If I could tell you" :)

• Number 6 : I've been told by quite a lot of people that I seem cold at first. So orang tak berani nak tegur. .__. My reaction to this; 

• Number 7 : I have troubles finding shoes in my size. Like one time, my dad and I pergi kedai merata nak cari sepasang kasut raya. Abah macam dah give up dah hahaha. Shoes with my size banyak dekat section lelaki. OTL

• Number 8 : I don't like it when people invade my personal space. There's one time where someone whom I just knew started to hug me, and that definitely made me feel uncomfortable. Things like that need time and I happen to be affectionate only to those who are close to me. 

• Number 9 : I started to take piano lessons when I was 15, and stopped when I was 16 or 17, I can't remember. I'm not even good, and I have terrible skills at reading musical notes.

I need to work on mah self. Tsk tsk

• Number 10 : Umi cakap masa kecik dulu my family calls me "Erin" all the time but I called myself "Elin". That nickname sticks until now. So basically, I gave myself a nickname when I was a kid. xD

• Number 11 : One of the weirdest dreams I've had was when I was a kid, where I was chased by Sesame Street Muppets. That is why I don't watch the show. Ever. Other weird dreams include shooting laser guns at stormtroopers with my cousin, and just a bunch of other weird things combine together. .__.

Day 6

Dear reader,

Finally, semester breaaaaak!

I have a two-week semester break and so far, it has been nothing but games for me! Well, games and chores. La, cuti dua minggu je? Yeah, orang yang cuti panjang tu don't rub it on our faces. :p Next semester I'll be taking five subjects namely Basic microbiology, Biostatistics, English language awareness, Anatomy and physiology 2 and Biochemistry. *lap peluh di dahi*

I know I haven't been updating lately. It's the laziness, man. I need help. Anyway, I am thrilled to share with you a picture of our choral speaking competition held on 7th May. We were the eighth group to present out of nineteen groups. Ada seniors and all from different courses so we definitely had fun watching them perform. :)

We won second place! I think many of us did it for GEMs points, jadi reaction banyak macam "Yeke kita menang?" lol. GEMs ni lebih kurang macam markah Koko masa matrik dulu la. Rasanya. Anyway, the closing ceremony was held the next day and only a few of us came to the campus since the others went to Negeri Sembilan for community service. 

I went on the stage to receive the hamper from Dato' Wira. Thanks, Ridz for taking the hamper back home! Memang tak mampu la kalau nak bawak balik rumah hamper ni sambil nak lintas jalan segala. He brought back the hamper to campus the next day nak bahagikan kat semua. Si conductor dah bawak lari pringles dulu. MUAHAHAHAHAHA

Ahem.

Last Wednesday my roommates and I went to Gold Chilli and had butter chicken! To all chicken lovers out there, you guys need to try this. :) Umi selalu buat butter prawn tapi goreng punya sekali ada nestum. Butter chicken ni dia creamy. 

Had chatime otw home. The place was empty so Kak Fayin, J and I lepak-ed there for awhile. It was good to see Salsa again. Yang takde Riff dengan Syiqin je. Ini kira last dinner dengan J as roommate since she's moving to another house with Salsa. Tsk tsk. I'm gonna miss teasing you, J! :p

HELLOOOO! :)



It has been a hectic couple of weeks for me. New subjects, lecturers, people, assignments and tasks. I'm taking three subjects for this short semester; English for General Purposes, Public Health and E-Commerce. Oh, we have a choral speaking competition this May! :) 




..and I'm gonna be the conductor.

I just hope that everything goes well because we have worked really hard, and hopefully I don't mess up. :3 Other than that, my mid semester exam starts next week. I only have two papers for mid sem and three for finals! Weeehuuu :D Kenapa tiap kali dah nak exam mesti baru nak update? Eheh.

This. I want to be able to do this. Duduk diam minum 7 up sambil jengket jengket kerusi. Dan om nom nom pizza.

If you have been reading my blog, you'll know that I have trouble adjusting myself for a few months in MSU, and although it took me quite sometime, this right here has made it all worth it;

I logged out, and logged back in to double check. Even sekarang pon masih tak percaya. *cubit diri sendiri* Back in matriculation, I've always wondered what it feels like to get that kind of result; and I have always been jealous of my friends yang dapat result macam tu. Jealous sampai tak sudi makan sama. Haha jk jk. Alhamdulillah, dapaaaaaat jugak rasa.

Salsa and Riff dah habis foundation, so we're no longer roomies. :( Riff's sister, Kak Fayin ganti jadi roomate baru, campur dengar sorang lagi roommate baru, Syiqin. I think I spell her name correctly. I think. :B

Last week, we went to Burger Bakar Abang Burn! :) It was my first time and the service was pretty good. Tak lama pon tunggu. We saw pictures of people yang order burger tingkat tingkat ada sampai 20 tingkat. O_O Camne dia nak makan entah. I had beef burger with cheese;

Makan sekali masuk memang tak boleh lah.

I've been using this app called Fresh Paint on Windows 8 and honestly the features are wicked ohsem! The texture looks real, as if you're actually painting guna water colour. Now before you scroll down to look at the paintings, let me clarify something; I suck at painting, and I am positive that my baby cousins can paint better than I do.

On hiatus

After not updating for a month, 

I thought I'd give up on blogging and move on with my life.

I was wrong.

Hello, earthlings! :)

My last paper was on the 1st of March, and I went home the day after. I'm looking forward for this short semester sebab timetable dia won't be as packed macam long semester! :D February was a pretty interesting month as I was involved in community service at an old folks home; whose name I'm not going to mention and no pictures for sensitivity reasons, went camping at Kem Mega Crystal, and gonna start buat kerja for our annual "Love from Heaven" charity event.  

Doing community service at the old folks home was definitely an eye opener. So, there's this guy, who happens to be in charge of the place, was very, very inappropriate. During the taklimat, he had the guts to say that these old folks ended up there because they 'did' something when they were young. He did not stop there, and I'm not gonna tell you what else he said. He was mean, and that's that.

I did meet a few old folks in both sections (the independent and dependent sections) and had a quick chat with an atuk, who was wearing sunglasses, (he's blind due to diabetes) kain pelekat and is fluent in English; we were told that he was a successful man when he was young. He said something to us before we left;

"It is nice to know that we're still wanted by the public" 

Words can't even describe this feeling I had when he said that. The community service is under mentoring activity, and the six of us (Asif, Raziman, Oka, Nanda, Finaz and I) together with our second year seniors returned to our university lepas solat Jumaat.

Kem Mega Crystal was a so-so. I think most of us tak suka the program simply because of the timing. All of us had quizzes the following week and final exams the week after. Jadi macam last minute nak exam ada camping. Ooh and everyone became tanned! :p

I was involved in a game where they made this huge snakes and ladders board game and we're (one person from each group) the tokens. :p

So, about the book vouchers. It. was. crayyyzeeehhh! I came early around 8.15 am, (the counters bukak at 9 am) thinking that I will get the vouchers cepat so that I can go straight to my 10 o'clock class. Tapi ramaaaaai yang potong queue. Orang yang datang awal semua kena potong, jadi tak bergerak. So, I stood there quietly, looking at those yang potong queue;

*now, let's take a moment to fangirl over Mike*

..aaand finally, I managed to get my hands on those vouchers. Itu pon sebab I had a friend who saw me stood there for too long and helped me out. :'3 We came a bit late to class but not too late to miss out on lecture. :)

Last Sunday, my mum and I went to The Curve to buy some books! It has been awhile, and banyak benda dah lain. I miss Damansara; the place, the food, the people. *sobs* *sobs*

Deliciousness.

I spent RM150 of my vouchers at Borders, and received discounts for future purchases. Yay to that! :) I spent the vouchers on books, stationary and umi's magazine. xD

Bought two more books by Jodi Picoult; Lone Wolf and The Pact. I already bought two of her books back in matriculation; Nineteen Minutes and House Rules. Semua guna vouchers. :3

What I love about her books is that she writes about family, issues that come with it, humanity, sacrifices. Books that make you think. :)

Oh! last weekend, umi said she found something interesting on the internet;

My, my. It has been awhile. Sorry for my long absence! :3 I have been occupied with classes, assignments, and a lot, I mean a lot of lab reports. Please, just look into the cat's eyes and accept my apology.

Cats are taking over the internet. I haz no say.

The five of us, (Lavi, Hana, Zaliha, Asif and I) had our presentation yesterday. The topic given to us was pretty much everything from reflexes sampai the brain. The tendon reflex, the flexor and the crossed-extensor reflex were explained by me. Tak pasti whether diaorang faham or not, bila tanya "Okay?" semua kat dalam lab tu tengok slide, diam tak bagi respond lepastu mata tak berkedip. OTL (Okay, diri sendiri pon react benda yang sama bila orang lain yang present) *facepalm*

February is going to be one heck of a month for me and my classmates. Our finals will be on the 25th, and most probably habis on the 28th. So, longer holidays for us lah because supposedly exam tu dalam 3 weeks. I personally don't mind having shorter holidays if the study week is longer. We don't have study week, by the way. Huehuehue. *nangis in the corner*

The second time I did this. The first time was during matriculation; cubaan ke-dua masih lagi blood type B+ :p (refer to number 7)

Lol the blood type comics are fun to read.

About a week ago, our lecturer gave us a photo assignment titled "The beauty of chemistry in MSU" and I decided to for caffeine. A safe choice, I know. So, here's a picture taken at the bakery in MSU; a cup of cappucino, and chocolates in the shape of sea shells at the side. 

We have to print out the picture in 8R, and it depends on the kedai itself. The kedai I went to charged me RM8 for the picture. Some other kedai maybe dapat lagi murah. The picture has to be pasted on an A4-size mounting board with an essay at the back.

Oh yeah, I turned 20 on the 19th! :D I'm not sure how I feel about that. But then again, how does one feel being 20? Surreal? Yeah, that pretty much sums it up. Thank you everyone for the birthday wishes and not to forget, those who belanja-ed me makan! I really appreciate it. :) On the day itself, I went out with my mum and had pizzzzzzza. :) It has been aaaages. Tambah tambah bila order yang cheesy lava stuffed crust tuh. Hamboi.

A little update

Dear reader,

You look rather dashing today. Hihi

I had my last paper for mid semester exam two days ago. Wooh! :D No cuti cuti, terus sambung belajar for finals in about a month or so. Rasa macam naik train that won't stop. O_O The day after our midsem, we had organic chemistry, there was a talk given by a lecturer dari luar. I can honestly say, it was one of those days that my brain decided to go blank after a few slides. No kidding. The lecture on carboxylic acid was so detailed I felt like slapping myself to make sure it's real.

Things like, for example, hexanoic acid is responsible for the bau bauan of our dirty socks, and isopentyl ethanoate is responsible for the bau of pisang are interesting but bila dah masuk reaction, preparation and et cetera, pehh. Istighfar panjang orang kiri kanan depan belakang.

Oh, and today we had a really interesting activity in physical chemistry class. We were divided into five groups and played detective for the day to solve a murder. I thought to myself;

"I don't watch enough CSI to solve this". *clears throat*

She showed the video of the crime scene, and the videos of each of the suspect's interviews. Ada dalam 4 orang suspects. Report apa semua dah ada, tinggal nak discuss what killed the victim, and most importantly, who. *cue scary music* some of the details included were emails from the victim's girlfriend, the victim's diary, the contents in the victim's allergy pills, things like that. Lavi, Hana, Asif and I had a really interesting discussion, sebab masing masing pun ada reason sendiri kenapa fikir this person yang killed the victim and last last came up with a conclusion.

Miss Marini didn't tell us who killed the victim. Miss cakap kalau salah pilih suspect, kena potong markah sikit. Sherlock Holmes would've looked at us and giggle, or facepalm. Either way. :/

After those horrible exam papers, I deserve to treat myself an ABCDEFG. T_T

Ah yes. These are my roommates. From left, meet Salsa, Riff, J and yours truly. :D Just the other night, the five of us (including Riff's sister, Kak Fayin) watched a horror movie called "The loved ones". You guys seriously kena tengok pictures of cats to calm yourselves down after that movie. xD the last time I watched this movie masa dekat matrik dengan roommate.

..and last but not least, finally dapat skype dengan Hani. :)
